These are the questions most often asked about our templates and our site. If you have additional questions about our products please do not hesitate to drop us a note at support@sorbose.com.

I have not received an email from SorBose on my purchase or with my download link(s). What is wrong?

In most cases it is because your spam filtering software or your ISP is blocking our email attempts from getting to you. Reset your software so that it allows sales@sorbose.com to be accepted. You may need to contact your ISP to allow email from us if they are blocking spam for you.

Can I change the background colors, fonts, images, sound effects or song loops that come with my templates(s)?

Yes, you will be provided the Flash source code so that (with Flash) you can change out and replace any portion of a template you like.

Can I replace the SorBose logo and copyright statement on the Template?

Yes, the SorBose title and copyright is there just as a placeholder for you to replace with your own information.

What version of Flash must I own?

You must be using Flash MX 2004 version 7 for most of our older templates, our new templates are being created in Flash 8. You can find out what version you will need by refering to the preview page for any template. To keep our templates current we try to stay only one version behind the current Macromedia Flash version.

Do all your templates work with Flash version 8?

Yes, Flash version 8 is backward compatible with all previous versions of Flash. It may require you template to be upgraded to the new version.

Can I resell the your templates?

Yes and No! You may Not resell our templates as templates, you have the right to use our templates to create one new Website (Premium Templates only). You can not sell our templates as templates on a Website, CD or any other electronic transaction. You CAN resell a finished work that you have created from our templates for a client. For example, you have a client that is a Doctor and you purchase our Medical Flash Template Website. You then make the changes for your client so it meets their needs. You can resell the .swf file to that client or host the site for your client. You may not resell our templates as templates and compete against us with our own products.

What are the advantages of purchasing a website template?

The major advantage is price. You receive a high quality design for only $20-$70. You don't have to hire a web designer or web design studio and all 3D work is already completed. The second advantage is time. It usually takes 150 - 200 hours for a good designer to produce a quality Flash Website with similar quality. The price you pay for a template is less than one hour's salary for a good Flash Developer.

Do you provide any scripts with your templates or could you do some custom programming?

Our templates do not include any additional scripts. All forms such as newsletter subscription or search fields are inactive and ready for you to complete.

What do I receive when I order a template from SorBose?

After you complete the payment via our secure payment system you will receive a confirmation email with links to download .zip files or notification that your software has shipped. The .zip files contain the following: Image files, Flash files, Bonus Templates and HTML files.

You do not need to own Zip software to open the .zip archive. For Windows users the files come with an unzip utility in the form of a .exe file. Just double click on the .exe download and it will automatically unzip. Mac users will receive a .zip file and must use Stuffit version 9 or above to unzip the encrypted files. What am I allowed and not allowed to do with the templates?

You may:
Build a website, presentation or Flash movie using the template in any way you like.

You may NOT:

Resell or redistribute the templates (like we do).

Claim intellectual or exclusive ownership to any of our products, modified or unmodified.

Make more than one project using the same Premium template (you must repurchase the a template in order to create another project with the same design)

Is the license a one-time fee?

Yes, the payment for your template is a one-time fee without any additional charges. After purchasing you may use the template as many times as you need for one website.

Is it possible to buy the particular image from the template?

No. According to our Terms and Conditions we never sell the images separately from templates (as well as the templates separately from the images).

I would like to make payment by company check. Is that possible?

Yes, just email us and we will help you make payment, sales@sorbose.com.

Is there any return policy?

Yes, for CDs purchased software only. See our return policy. Since SorBose is offering non-tangible irrevocable goods we do not issue refunds after the product is delivered electronically. You are responsible for understanding our policies before purchasing any item on our site. We only make exceptions when the product appears to be not-as-described or defective on a case by case basis. The deadline for any refund claim is 30 days from the date of purchase.

I ordered a template but haven't received the download information.

Is it possible to reactivate my download link if it was deactivated after 3 days?

Yes, just contact our Support Department at support@sorbose.com.

How can I modify a template to suit my particular website?

Please visit our Tutorials Page for Help in obtaining detailed instructions on editing our Templates.

Are your templates Microsoft FrontPage compatible?

Most of templates that come with HTML are compatible with Adobe GoLive, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Microsoft Frontpage.

What software do you recommend for editing HTML?

We believe that Macromedia Dreamweaver is the best.

How can I modify a Flash template?

You need to use Macromedia Flash MX to edit the template. See our tutorials page for help.

When I try to open the flash fla file, I get an error Unexpected file format.

This means that .fla file is incompatible with your Flash version. Please install Flash MX to edit this file.

Can I edit flash template in Swish?

No, our flash templates can be edited in Macromedia Flash only.

Is it possible to use your templates to develop websites for my customers?

Yes. It is perfect for designers who want to offer their customers a high-quality design and also save time and money. Mind that when you purchase the template with a licence you're entitled to create only one project (one domain name).

Will SorBose help me to edit my template?

We will help with Basic Flash questions. Advanced Flash work can be provided by a staff Flash Developer at $85 per hour.
